Attend the tale of Sweeney Todd . . . the dark and brooding, yet sharply comic, story of love, revenge, and meat pies from the late and much-beloved Stephen Sondheim. At the broken heart of the story is the wrongly exiled barber, Sweeney Todd.
Colleen Ballinger is a multi hyphenate; actor, comedian, trained vocalist, writer and executive producer. She is best known for portraying her character, ‘Miranda Sings,’ a personality that is the polar opposite of Ms. Ballinger. It is open to all ages but rated PG13.
Carnaval Brasileiro, Austin’s Brazilian Mardi Gras since 1978, is like a rave with live music. The flamboyant sometimes risqué, costumes, the driving Brazilian samba, and the uninhibited, spirited atmosphere have earned the reputation as one of the biggest festivities outside Brazil.
The clown Mauro has passed, but his spirit is still with us. Instead of mourning, the funeral cortege celebrates with laughter and exuberance. The sound of laughter peals around the stage, visions of joyous tumblers and players fascinate the eyes. Catch this acrobatic show at the Moody Center.
